Cream Puffs

Cream puffs are versatile. You can fill them with pretty much any flavor and top them with different things as well. They are light, delicious and addicting. I brought these to work before and they disappeared so I thought I would bring them again as a Monday morning surprise.

Cream Puffs
Ingredients:
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
8 eggs

Mix the water and butter in a sauce pan and bring to a rolling boil.

Remove from heat and stir in flour and salt until a ball of dough forms.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well in between with a wooden spoon or paddle attachment on electric mixer.

Drop by tablespoonful on a baking pan.

Bake at 425 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown and inside of cream puffs is dry. (Cream puffs should double in size)

Filling
Ingredients:
Pudding mix
2 c. milk
1 c. whipped cream

Make pudding according to directions on package. (A regular box takes 2 cups of milk .You may actually need to make 2 packages to fill all of the cream puffs.)  Mix in whipped cream. Fill cream puffs.

You can top yours with whatever you'd like. I did 2 types of filling. Chocolate cream filled, topped with chocolate (Thanks Heidi for the idea!) and vanilla filled, topped with powdered sugar. I think Nutella would also be awesome with these and I've heard banana is pretty delicious as well. Let me know what you guys try!
