Slutty Brownies

Chocolate chip cookies + Fudgy Brownies + Oreos = Guilty pleasure.

I wish I could say I came up with this idea on my own.  Actually I came across slutty brownies on Pinterest.  The ones I found, however were made with boxed mix.  I'm not a fan of baking that way so I decided to recreate this with my own recipe.  The bottom layer is chocolate chip cookie dough.  The middle layer is Oreo cookies.  The top layer is a fudgy brownie.  Just for good measure, I crumbled Oreos on top as well.  The result might make you feel like cheating on your other dessert foods.

Cookie Dough
Ingredients:
1 c. (2 sticks) butter (softened)
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
8 oz chocolate chips

Combine butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixing bowl.

Add eggs one at a time and mix well between each.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.  Gradually add dry ingredients to batter.

Mix in chocolate chips.  Spread cookie batter into a greased and floured pan.  (I used a 9x14 pan but honestly, I recommend a bigger pan. If I make these again, I will use my Pampered Chef Large Bar Pan.)

Top cookie dough with halved Oreos. (I used mint because those are my favorite.)  Be sure to save some to top the brownies with!

Brownie Batter
Ingredients:
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt

In large mixing bowl, mix cocoa powder and baking soda together.  Add in half of the vegetable oil and boiling water and mix until thickened.

Stir in the sugar. . .

And the eggs and remaining oil.

Add flour, vanilla and salt and mix just until flour is completely incorporated.

Pour into pan over Oreo/cookie dough layers and top with remaining crushed Oreos.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Mine came out really thick (insert dirty joke in here) so I definitely recommend using a bigger pan so that yours will be a more practical size.  Regardless, they were delicious and minty.  If you're not a fan of mint, you can use regular Oreos or, if you're feeling really feisty, there are tons of different flavors of Oreo cookies out there.  These brownies are super rich.  The only thing mine was missing was a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
