Snicker-doodles

It's official. I have a problem. I wouldn't have come to this conclusion except for the fact that I told both my boys that they had to wait until after dinner. Meanwhile, I'm sneaking these when they aren't looking. I won't tell you how many I've already had, (keep in mind they've been out of the oven about 10 minutes) but I will say it rhymes with what these taste like  -  Heaven. I think its about time I checked into Cookieholics Anonymous. Hello. My name is Jessica, and I'm a cookieholic.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
12 0z. bag of Heath Bar chunks (optional)
For outside:
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Mix sugar, butter and shortening together in large bowl. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between.

Stir in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.

Can't help mixing something in, when I got it!

Add Heath Bar, stir well. (If desired. I always like to add things to recipes.)

Cinnamon-sugar coating

Combine the remaining 1/4 c. sugar and 2 tbsp. cinnamon. Pour into tray or on plate. Roll a tablespoon amount of batter in cinnamon-sugar and drop onto cookie sheet.

All ready for some oven time!

Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until set. Transfer to wire racks to cool.

I feel obligated to add: I really hate the name "Snicker-doodle." Whoever came up with that name is dumb. Unfortunately I couldn't come up with a better name for these delicious, crunchy treats, (So ultimately, who am I to make judgement?) so the name stays. For now. Unless one of you comes up with a better name. Delicious cookie. Dumb name. Please indulge me because my creativity is shot for today. Also, please tell me what you think of these 'dood's.

Shouldn't these be Heath-doodles instead of "snicker"?
